Guest Designer - Nancy Edwards

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Nancy Edwards.

Hey there, I’m Nancy (aka Pink Panoply) from sunny California.  Some of my earliest memories are of drawing paper dolls and creating outfits for them with my best friend down the street.  I used the brightest colors in my crayon box and I’m still doing that today with my copics.  Crafting is my happy place and I never get tired of creating art and gifting it to those I love.  Quilting and card making are my favorite pass times,   but my greatest loves are my two beautiful grown daughters and my amazing husband of 51 years.

This card was created for my childhood friend because it reminded me of some priceless memories of our high school days back in the sixties.  After coloring the Vera Lane digital stamp with copics, I fussy cut her and mounted her to my background.   I had fun using die cuts, copics, Nuvo drops, gems and gel pens to add details to my summery scene.

Thank you so much to Nancy for sharing her beautiful creation. Please do check out Nancy's Blog.

Guest Designer - Lori Podolsky

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Lori Podolsky

Hi!  My name is Lori and I was born in Italy.  I came to the U.S when I was 2.5 years old.  I have two amazing and wonderful adult sons, and two darling kitties. I have always loved crafting, even as a child.  I love to colour rubber and digital images with my beloved Copic markers.  I started scrapbooking in 2000 but when i discovered Copics, I switched over to creating cards, which is now my passion.  I love vibrant colours, especially all shades of pinks and purples.

Materials and Tools Used are:

Frame: Spellbinders "Marvelous Squares" dies
Foliage: McGill "Pine Branch" punch
Flowers: EK Success "Retro" punches (small and medium)
Butterfly: Cheery Lynn "Exotic Butterfly" dies
Sentiment: Computer generated backed with QuicKutz "Bottle Cap" die

I coloured the image with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.
I sponged the dots on the embossing folder and the edges of the frame.
My flowers and hatpin are handmade.
I added Swarvovski crystals to the centers of the flowers.
I added the pearl border at the top
The butterfly was cut out of glitter paper.
I used Liquid Pearls (Baby Blue) on her earring.

Ribbon, feather, beads and pearls are from my stash.

Thank you so much to Lori for sharing her beautiful creation. Please do check out Lori's Blog.

Guest Designer - Maria Giselle Batan

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Maria Giselle Batan

I am Maria Giselle Batan. I reside at St. Louis, Missouri. I am a paper crafter since 2005. My journey with paper crafting started with scrapbooking, then eventually going into card making and paper crafting. I am a wife and mom to 4 boys. It has been a habit of mine to create something for my sons' class during school parties. I work as a Tele-ICU RN. I don't really consider myself as a front liner since I word behind the cameras but we do monitor patients with COVID-19. It is such a challenging time these days. I am always grateful for every day that me and my loved ones are healthy. That is why crafting is the best outlet for me, not only to relax my mind but also to show kindness to others by creating cards and sending it off to whoever needs it, hoping that it will send some encouragement. We all need it these days. Stay safe always! Have a blessed, brilliant and creative day!

I created this card to feature this stamp set that I have won in one of the challenges I have joined in. I want to show the versatility of this stamp image by creating an interactive feature within it. A little bit of masking, measuring and cutting resulted to this card. I also created this card in time for Mother's Day. But you can easily customize the sentiment for this card depending on the occasion. I don't even have to limit myself on the sentiment stamps included on the set. I can type a personal message on the pull out tab as long as I trace the tab first before typing in my message to make sure the message fits in the tab. Also, since the typewriter image has a vintage look, this can be a good masculine card, too. Lots of possibilities for this stamp set. It was just difficult getting a good impression on the first inking so a Misti Stamping Tool or any stamp positioner is highly recommended in using this stamp. Anyway, don't be afraid to try out new things with the stamps you have in your stash. For all you know, you can give it a new purpose.

Thank you so much to Maria Giselle for sharing her beautiful creation. Please do check out Andrea's Blog.
