Guest Designer - Marianne

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Marianne.

Hello, my name is Marianne aka Maryann Scrapbooking.
I am married, retired and I live in Metz in France.
I started scrapbooking in 2009 thanks to my westie Bounty from Willycott that I was taking
pictures of from every angle - he left us last May 28th - and to Rachel, a Swiss friend who
made wonderful creations. It quickly became a way to relieve stress from work.
I’ve grown a lot over the years even though I’m self-taught. I’ve never had the chance to do a
workshop, I work on feeling.
I touch a little on everything, pages, albums, bag jewels, but it is the card making that
occupies all my time. I also really like mixed media. For some time now, I've been practicing
coloring. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel such a fullness when I color.
I create to offer personalized cards. Except, lately when during the confinement, I created
without precise reason.
It’s a great pleasure for me to be invited to this beautiful ARTY DIVA’S challenge.

I chose to make a floral border with a hole punch in a magnificent 13 @rts paper which I doubled with a deep blue from the same collection.
As usual, I sewed the edges of the paper.
I cut my lady and her blue frame with Spellbinders dies.
The whole is glued on 3D foam to highlight it,
I pierced it to make a tag and tied it with blue and white twine.
Some cutouts of foliage and two white flowers dress the top of my tag and on its twine come to land two pretty yellow butterflies.
To finish the set, I added a few half-pearls of different sizes and colors and my sentiment "Fais un voeu - Make a wish" which comes to fit into the cutout.

Thank you so much to Marianne for sharing her beautiful creations. Please do check out Marianne's Blog.

Guest Designer- Anita

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Anita.

Hi! I'm Anita. I've been interested in crafty things for as long as I remember, and I'm lucky that my family encourages my artistic side and is my creative sounding board. I've explored various arty and crafty pursuits over the years, many of which I still enjoy. I started art journaling and dabbling with mixed media last year to help cope with the stresses of life, and I'm amazed at the positivity it infuses into me. I hope my projects spread that positivity around - we all need a bit of cheer now and then.

I made an ATC trio for my project. For the backgrounds, I initially used acrylics and stencils, but it didn't go as planned. So I switched to stamping, acrylics, and markers, and created a busy feel to the backgrounds. I used die-cuts as focals, choosing to retain them in white to contrast with the background.

Thank you so much to Anita for sharing her beautiful creations. Please do check out Anita's Blog.

Guest Designer Anesha Marshall

Hello everyone, today our wonderful Guest Designer is Anesha Marshall.

I have been drawing and crafting all my life. Became seriously addicted to paper-crafting since 1997. Currently doing a Pet Portrait course which is challenging but great fun. Left over paints,  from my painting sessions , is used on my Gelli press to make backgrounds for future projects. Just like the background on this card. Visitors to my blog will know that I love cats (dogs as well) especially my ginger girl. Sadly, she died a year ago and we now have two former Greek kitties who fill our lives with joy.

The background started as a print from my Gelli press using acrylic paints. Then used lots of different stamps, stencils and colours of inks to add interest. The image is from Beccy's Place 'Beasties' digital stamp set. This was printed onto white card and then coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils. Added the floral die cut eyelet reinforcers to finish it off.

Thank you so much to Anesha for sharing her beautiful creation. Please do check out Anesha's Blog.
